Information you provide
AkayPH may collect your name, email address, password hash, restaurant ownership or management information, listing edits, restaurant photos, reviews, favorites, reports, appeals, and support messages. Passwords are not stored in plaintext.
Account and security information
Session tokens are stored as cryptographic hashes in the application database. Staff accounts may use authenticator-based multi-factor authentication. The application’s rate limiter uses network-address information to create one-way hashed rate-limit keys; raw IP addresses are not stored in the AkayPH application database by that feature.
Optional nearby location
When you choose “Use My Location,” your browser asks for location permission and AkayPH uses an approximate coordinate for the current nearby restaurant search. Coordinates are rounded before being placed in the search request, and AkayPH does not save your device location in its application database. Hosting and network providers may still process standard request logs under their own operational practices.
Usage analytics
When first-party analytics is enabled, AkayPH stores aggregate daily page-view counts by path. The aggregate analytics table is designed not to store visitor IP addresses or user IDs. Hosting providers may independently process standard server logs under their own operational practices.
Restaurant and public-source data
AkayPH may display restaurant information submitted by users, verified businesses, and open-data sources such as OpenStreetMap. Public business information may include names, addresses, coordinates, cuisine, hours, phone numbers, and websites.
Why information is used
Information is used to provide accounts and favorites, publish and moderate reviews, verify business ownership, maintain restaurant listings, prevent abuse, respond to support requests, secure staff tools, measure aggregate product usage, and comply with applicable obligations.
Sharing
AkayPH does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by infrastructure, email, storage, monitoring, or other service providers configured by the site operator, and may be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect users, businesses, or the service.
Retention and choices
Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, including security, moderation, dispute handling, and legal obligations. You may request help with account or privacy matters through AkayPH Support.
Security
AkayPH uses measures such as password hashing, secure session cookies in production, origin checks, rate limiting, security headers, and staff MFA. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Changes
This policy may be updated as AkayPH adds features or service providers. The effective date below should be reviewed whenever production practices materially change.
